Our Leadership Team

Jerry has been involved in the executive search industry since 1979. In 1986, he began his own firm, Morgan Hunter Corporate Search. Over time, two additional companies, Morgan Hunter Healthcare Consulting and Morgan Hunter HealthSearch, were formed. Today, the three companies collectively are known as the Morgan Hunter Companies, which is one of the largest recruiting organizations in the Midwest. During his career he has been involved in more than 3000 search assignments in various disciplines, including healthcare, accounting and financial services, information technology, and education. Prior to his entry into the executive search industry, Jerry had a successful career in sales and sales management.

Community involvement has included membership in the Kansas City Area Development Council, Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, Management Exchange Group, Executive Committee member and Vice President of the American Association of Finance and Accounting, National Association of Personnel Services, Missouri Association of Personnel Services, and as a Board member of the Kansas City Association of Personnel Services.

Barry Jackson has worked for the Morgan Hunter Companies since 1994 and was instrumental in the establishment of Morgan Hunter Healthcare Consulting and Morgan Hunter HealthSearch. His current responsibility is to oversee both the strategic and day-to-day operations of Morgan Hunter HealthSearch. He has extensive mid and senior level executive level search experience specializing in healthcare, banking and financial services, telecommunications, insurance and manufacturing. Barry has worked exclusively in the healthcare sector since 2003. The combination of personal experience in building two companies, as well as completing over 300 searches, makes Barry uniquely qualified to assist clients with their research and selection of key executives. Prior to joining Morgan Hunter Companies, Barry worked for Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. of Atlanta, GA. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Missouri Southern State University. His professional memberships include the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration. He currently serves on the Membership Committee for the Missouri Healthcare Executives Group (MHEG) and is Membership Chair for the local MHEG council in Kansas City.

Shelby joins Morgan Hunter HealthSearch with more than 23 years of hands-on medical expertise in occupational medicine, physician practice management, rehabilitation, reproductive endocrinology, and healthcare executive and physician recruitment. He has worked with a broad range of clients from community based facilities, large integrated healthcare systems, and academic and teaching hospitals across the United States. Over the course of his career he has been responsible for successful searches involving all Chief-level healthcare executives, as well as Director/Manager-level searches in all critical clinical and non-clinical service lines. He has also successfully placed respected candidates in such disciplines as Facilities Engineering & Maintenance, Foundation Development and Medical Staff Services. Shelby received a Bachelor of Sciences-Nursing degree from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Toon brings more than 15 years of Healthcare Experience. He has an extensive background in consulting/interim management services and executive placement. He has worked nationally with client organizations ranging from small hospitals to large health systems placing professionals in Senior-Level, CXO, VP, and Department Director roles. He works closely managing the executive needs at hospital systems across the U.S., along with our Executive Professionals.
