As we approach Thanksgiving, I am reminded of how fortunate we are in this country to have such quality hospitals and healthcare providers.  I grew up in a healthcare home as my mom worked for over 40 years as a Nurse (House Supervisor for many years) at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.  I spent countless hours walking the halls with her and seeing first-hand the tremendous healthcare provided.  I’ve also been with her on mission trips to hospitals in third world countries and witnessed the lack of resources poverty-stricken nations face.

To those of you in the heatlhcare field, thank you for the work you do for all of us.  I also encourage you to remember those less fortunate this holiday season, whether they be in your city or a third world country.

Happy Thanksgiving!
