The candidate presents with over 35 years of nursing experience, 25 of which are in a leadership capacity.  She combines her hospital-based leadership experience with three years as an Executive Coach with the Studer Group.

Describes her clinical strengths as having a wealth of experience in a variety of environments that leads her to understanding where to go to ask questions across all nursing departments (she doesn’t pretend to have all the answers). She knows current standards and believes in evidence-based practice.  Administratively, she builds relationships first.  She wants to know what is working and what isn’t.  The candidate wants to know what the history has been, but also doesn’t want to get stuck in doing what we have always done.

She talked about her management style in terms of being collaborative, transformational and a servant leader (which she shared means she creates relationships with staff and establishes a flow of communication).
